HICPs are annually chain-linked Laspeyres-type price indices whose country and product weights are updated every year.
They are produced and published with a common index reference period (2015=100).
The common classification for HICPs is the “Classification of Individual Consumption by Purpose” (COICOP); various special aggregates are compiled.
This section shows the main statistics of the HICPs, including the all-items HICP, COICOP breakdowns, groupings into “Goods and Services”, “Administered prices” and seasonally adjusted HICPs.
